Bangkok: Opal Suchata Chuangsri, crowned Miss World 2025, exercised her advance voting rights today, expressing her hopes for the country’s new leadership to prioritize education and public health.

According to Thai News Agency, Opal cast her advance vote at Chandrakasem Rajabhat University in Bangkok’s Constituency 9. Although her registered address is in Phuket, Opal had registered in advance to vote outside her district, marking her first vote in Phuket. She underscored the importance of voting as a means to instigate positive change in the country. The voting station was bustling with activity, as citizens continuously arrived to participate in the electoral process. Voters today received two ballots-green for the constituency election and pink for the party-list election-with a referendum scheduled for February 8th.

Opal emphasized that elections are a rare opportunity to shape the nation’s future. She had diligently reviewed party policies, debates, and visions to make an informed decision. Despite t
he uncertain future direction of the country, she encouraged citizens to prioritize their values for both personal and national advancement. The lively atmosphere at the polling station reflected the excitement and importance of the event, particularly for young voters. This marks Opal’s second election, and she views it as a significant opportunity for the younger generation to establish a foundation for future growth.

In a time of increased social media accessibility, many young people have researched and prepared well for the election. Opal highlighted education as a crucial element in building a secure future for the nation. As someone who relocated to Bangkok for better opportunities, she advocates for nationwide equal access to education without the burden of additional costs or commuting difficulties. Additionally, she stressed the importance of public health, advocating for national health improvements and addressing issues such as the PM2.5 pollution problem. Structural reform, in her view, is essen
tial for enhancing governance and quality of life, potentially creating a ripple effect across various sectors.

Opal expressed her trust in the future leaders, urging senior figures to have faith in them, as they are chosen by the majority. She called on everyone to vote by 5:30 PM today and participate in the February 8th referendum. She hopes for the election of a competent administration that will foster a brighter future for all citizens.
