Bangkok: Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha and his family paid homage to the sacred objects at Government House, while Somsak took a tour of the building and reminisced about his time as government spokesman before entrusting the care of his son to the media. Mr. Paradorn Prisnanantakul, Minister to the Prime Minister's Office, along with his family, joined in paying homage to the sacred objects at Government House, the spirit house and the grandfather and grandmother shrines at 10:09 a.m., with Mr. Somsak Prisnanantakul, former Minister of Education, his father; Mrs. Rawiwan Prisnanantakul, his mother; and Mr. Krawee Prisnanantakul, MP for Ang Thong from the Bhumjaithai Party, his younger brother.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Somsak took Mr. Paradorn on a tour of Government House, including a visit to the office of the Government House press secretary, to reminisce about the time when Mr. Somsak served as the Prime Minister's Office spokesman in 1995 during the government of Prime Minister Banharn Silpa-archa. He said that when he worked at Government House, he would sit in the Narisara Club building and would often come to meet the media in the sparrow's nest, which used to be the only nest. He had entrusted the media to the care of his son.
When reporters asked if he needed to tutor Mr. Paradorn, Mr. Somsak replied, "He's even smarter than his father." Mr. Paradorn is now at Government House, and he'll likely have the opportunity to meet the press frequently.
