Bangkok: Military and civilian engineering teams are working tirelessly to search for individuals trapped in the collapsed Office of the Auditor General. Experts remain hopeful about the possibility of finding survivors in a stairwell adjacent to the elevator shaft, located at the center of the building.
According to Thai News Agency, search efforts involve the USAR search and rescue teams from Israel and the United States, alongside Army military dogs, who have systematically scoured the entire building area. Their mission was to ensure no survivors were left in the vicinity. Following this confirmation, civilian machinery and military engineers swiftly commenced the demolition of surrounding structures to expedite access to the building’s core.
The Army Engineering Unit is actively providing support with equipment such as stone crushers and steel cutters to facilitate the removal of debris. They also supply electric lighting and personnel to act as Scouts, who vigilantly monitor debris movement to prevent potential hazards during the operation. These efforts continue around the clock to maximize the chances of a successful rescue.
