Bangkok: MCOT and Luk Thung Mahanakorn radio station organized a free concert, Mahanakorn CaniWOW "Music of Textile Arts," to celebrate Thai culture and ring in the new year. The event aimed to promote and preserve Thai culture through music and traditional Thai silk, featuring an array of performances from popular artists.
According to Thai News Agency, the concert, "Mahanakorn CaniWOW: Music of Thai Silk," was held at the MCOT multipurpose area and showcased the richness of Thai music, silk, food, and other products. It ran from noon until midnight and featured over 35 artists, including Keng Tachaya, Tree Chainarong, Dok-Or Thungthong, and Prae Chana.
The event was not just about music but also offered free services to attendees, such as motorcycle oil changes for the first 100 motorcycles, repair of small electrical appliances, and basic health checkups. It was a holistic celebration of Thai culture, with performances, prize giveaways from artists and DJs, and a special emphasis on traditional Thai silk.
Tri Chainarong, a Luk Thung singer, expressed his gratitude to the fans and organizers, saying, "Wow! It truly lives up to its name. I always feel heartwarming whenever I meet fans here. Thank you to Luk Thung Mahanakorn radio station for organizing this event and for playing songs by all the Luk Thung artists. On this occasion, I wish everyone a Happy New Year.
