Meanwhile, "Pink" Pichamon Opasanipat, ranked 27th in the world, triumphed over Nguyen Thuy Linh, the 7th seed and world number 21 from Vietnam, in two straight games, 21-18 and 21-10. This victory secured her a spot in the quarterfinals, where she is set to face a challenging opponent, Chen Yu fei, the top seed from China, tomorrow.
