Manchester City Sets Sights on Cody Gakpo Amid Potential Squad Changes

Manchester: Manchester City are targeting Liverpool's Dutch international forward Cody Gakpo in their bid to bolster their attacking options. This move comes as the club anticipates the departures of Savinho and possibly Omar Marmouz, who is linked with a transfer to Tottenham.

According to Thai News Agency, Liverpool are currently firm in their decision not to sell Gakpo. The club will likely require the acquisition of two more wingers before considering any potential transfer of the 27-year-old forward, who is contracted at Anfield until 2030. Despite Gakpo's impressive start to the season, scoring in the opening Premier League match against Newcastle, Liverpool remain hesitant to entertain offers.

At this time, there have been no formal negotiations between Manchester City and Liverpool regarding Gakpo. Meanwhile, Liverpool are actively pursuing new talent to strengthen their squad. The team is in discussions to sign attackers Bradley Barkola and Ibrahim Mbaye from PSG, as well as Yankuba Minteh from Brighton.
