M6 Exit to M9 Temporarily Closed for Construction Starting Tomorrow

Bangkok:The exit from Expressway No. 6 (M6) connecting to Expressway No. 9 (M9) westbound will be temporarily closed starting tomorrow. This closure is necessary to facilitate the construction of the M9 section between Lat Lum Kaeo and Bang Pa In.

According to Thai News Agency, Ms. Ploytalay Laksmisangchan, the Deputy Spokesperson for the Prime Minister's Office, stated that the Department of Highways has announced traffic pattern adjustments at the intersection of the M6 and M9 expressways, particularly at the Bang Pa-in 2 interchange. This development is part of the ongoing M9 Bangkok Outer Ring Road (Western Section) project.

The Department of Highways will redirect traffic from the main M9 route to parallel routes, specifically Highways 3901 and 3902, which have been expanded to three lanes in each direction to manage the increased traffic volume. The construction at these connection points and entrances/exits is scheduled for completion by March 31, 2027.
