Luxury Car Crash Claims Lives of Mother and Three Children in Chumphon.

Chumphon: A tragic accident occurred in Chumphon Province when a woman driving a luxury car collided with a motorcycle, resulting in the deaths of a mother and her three children. The incident happened at 7:40 p.m. on the rural highway's outbound lane near the railway bridge in Tak Daed Subdistrict, Mueang Chumphon District, just 700 meters before the main road intersection, Asia Road 41. According to Thai News Agency, the crash involved a black BMW sedan that hit a black Honda motorcycle from behind. The collision caused the motorcycle riders to be thrown off a bridge over railway tracks. The victims were identified as Ms. Yenjit, aged 52, and her two children, Ms. Bunyanuch, aged 14, and Mr. Kritmet, aged 16, who was found wearing a school uniform. All three suffered severe injuries, including broken bones and cracked skulls, and were found deceased on the median strip of the parallel road. The luxury car, located approximately 100 meters from the motorcycle, sustained significant damage, with the bumper, right front wheel, and right rear wheel severely mangled. The driver, identified through an ID card found in a wallet inside the car as Ms. Pharada, had fled the scene. A bottle of a well-known Thai liquor brand was found in the vehicle's glove compartment, which was collected as evidence. Eyewitnesses reported hearing a loud crash that interrupted their evening exercise routine. They witnessed the victims being thrown from the bridge and immediately alerted the authorities. Another witness recounted that after the crash, the woman exited the BMW asking for assistance to catch her cat, which had escaped in the chaos. After retrieving the cat, she reportedly made a phone call to someone she referred to as her boyfriend, asking him to pick her up, but fled the scene before he arrived.
