Buriram: Ying Lee Sri Jumpon, a noted Luk thung singer, has decided to put her musical career on hold as she steps into the political sphere. She has submitted her application to run for Mayor of the Ban Khu Subdistrict Administrative Organization in Na Pho District.
According to Thai News Agency, Ying Lee announced her intentions through a Facebook post, expressing her desire to develop her hometown community. She shared her motivation and aspirations, stating, "Opening a new experience, volunteering to develop the community in my hometown in Ban Ku Subdistrict. I would like Ying Lee to try working as the mayor of the Subdistrict Administrative Organization." Ying Lee emphasized her varied life experiences and commitment to community service, adding, "I have struggled in life, doing various jobs, fun and challenging, daring to think, daring to go on many adventures. Today, I am with my relatives in my hometown, it's very warm. Let Ying Lee try to be Mayor Lee."
Ying Lee also called for support from her fellow residents, stating her readiness to volunteer and contribute to the development of Ban Ku Subdistrict. She concluded her message with a plea for support to become "Mayor Lee," the mayor of Ban Ku Subdistrict Administrative Organization.
