Lopburi residents waved Thai national flags in solemn tribute to Sergeant Pachara Yaemtaeng-on, a Special Forces soldier from Pa Wai who sacrificed his life in the battle at Chong An Ma, Hill 677, Nam Yuen District, Ubon Ratchathani Province, with full honors.
According to Thai News Agency, this afternoon, the body of Sergeant Pachara Yaemtaeng-on, or "Sergeant Games," a Special Forces soldier from Pawaai who sacrificed his life in the battle at Chong An Ma, Hill 677, Nam Yuen District, Ubon Ratchathani Province, was transported from Ubon Ratchathani Province to Lopburi Province. A guard of honor, along with the Governor of Lopburi, was present to receive the body with full honors.
The commander of the Special Warfare Command, along with Sergeant Pachara's parents, girlfriend, fellow soldiers, relatives, and the people of Lopburi, were present. As Sergeant Pachara's body was being transported to the temple, villagers who had heard the news gathered to wave Thai flags in tribute and bid farewell to his soul. Some villagers were unable to hold back their tears, creating an atmosphere of profound sadness.
For the funeral rites of the deceased Games group, today will include a ceremony of pouring water over the bodies and receiving royal blessings. The funeral rites will then continue until December 19th, and the cremation will take place on December 20th.
