Lopburi: Lopburi 2 Railway Station (Tha Wung) officially opened for service this morning amidst a lively atmosphere. Special Express Train No. 7, Bangkok Aphiwat - Chiang Mai, entered Lopburi 2 Railway Station to pick up and drop off passengers at 9:06 a.m. A large number of passengers and members of the public came to capture images and be a part of this important event, which marks another chapter in the history of the northern double-track railway.
According to Thai News Agency, the train slowly approached the platform, amidst official welcome announcements. Passengers on the "first voyage" expressed their satisfaction and pride at being a part of the opening of Lopburi's new Northern Line station. To facilitate passengers from the first day, the State Railway of Thailand arranged a scheduled shuttle service between Lopburi 1 and Lopburi 2 stations, ensuring convenient and fast connections.
The atmosphere around the station was filled with people who came to take photos of the "first trip" as souvenirs, while staff provided assistance and closely maintained the area.
