Bang Lamung: The local government, alongside more than 50 police officers, raided a pool party attended by over 200 Indians last night in Bang Lamung District, Chonburi Province. The event, which generated noise complaints from nearby residents, prompted the authorities to take action.
According to Thai News Agency, the raid was ordered by Mr. Patcharaphat Srithanyanon, the Bang Lamung District Chief. He instructed Mr. Nathaphop Yomchinda, another district chief, along with Pol. Lt. Col. Jamlong Jinphala, Deputy Chief of Nongprue Police Station, and Mr. Kittisak Monkaew, Deputy Chief of Pong Subdistrict Municipality, to lead the operation. The team comprised over 50 officers from various agencies. Upon inspection, they discovered that the party, attended by more than 200 Indian tourists, featured activities such as playing in the water, consuming alcohol, and playing loud music.
During the raid, the authorities found a young woman hired to entertain at the event. They verified her identity and conducted a drug test, which returned negative results. No minors or drug users were found at the scene. Additionally, the officers checked the hotel operators' permit documents and those of the tour guides responsible for bringing the tourists, emphasizing the need for strict adherence to legal requirements.
The Bang Lamung District has prioritized addressing noise complaints from residents and conducted an immediate investigation. Business operators and tourists were reminded to comply with noise regulations, with authorities warning of severe legal consequences for any violations.
