Bangkok: The female layperson, Ms. Aranyawan, claimed she was unaware that funds transferred from the former Chao Khun Yaem were temple money and did not answer questions regarding their relationship.
According to Thai News Agency, the lawyer visited Ms. Aranyawan briefly and shared insights from an interrogation conducted the previous night. Initial findings suggest that Ms. Aranyawan believed the money transferred by the former Chao Khun Yaem was personal, not temple funds. This belief stemmed from the former Chao Khun Yaem's long-standing ordination and previous financial gifts given out of affection. Although a contract was made to acknowledge the debt, the exact amount borrowed remains unconfirmed due to significant transactions in Ms. Aranyawan's account. She stated that she has repaid part of the debt and primarily invested in real estate, with only occasional gambling activities.
In response to reports of an inappropriate video involving the former Chao Khun Yaem and Ms. Aranyawan, the lawyer mentioned he has not viewed the clip and is unaware of its context or intent. The clip is presumed to be with investigators. He also refrained from commenting on the nature of the relationship between the former Chao Khun Yaem and Ms. Aranyawan, leaving questions about the possibility of an affair unanswered.
