Lam luk ka: Lam Luk Ka Police Station sent an 18-year-old male youth, referred to as "Nong Phu," to the hospital for examination of injuries he claims were inflicted by his stepmother. The examination aims to aid in legal proceedings, with the youth's employer offering accommodation and support for his education during this time.
According to Thai News Agency, the case of "Nong Phu," who bears multiple injuries and alleges continuous physical abuse by his stepmother since childhood, has drawn significant attention. The Sai Mai Tong Rood team and his employer accompanied him to Lam Luk Ka Police Station in Pathum Thani Province to file an official complaint, urging the investigating officers to initiate legal action.
Pol. Col. Thiradech Chanlad, Superintendent of Lam Luk Ka Police Station, stated that after initial questioning and examination, there is reason to believe that physical abuse occurred. The police plan to interview the victim, witnesses, and involved parties further, and will send Nong Phu for a detailed medical examination. The results will help determine whether charges of physical abuse or assault causing serious injury should be filed and whether the case falls under the Domestic Violence Act. Should sufficient evidence be gathered, an arrest warrant will be issued, and charges will be pursued promptly. While the investigation will first focus on the most recent incident, past allegations will also be scrutinized. Continuous abuse could be established if dates and circumstances are confirmed.
Ekaphop Lueangprasert, founder of Sai Mai Tong Rood (Silk Must Survive), revealed that the reported abuse was not isolated but had been ongoing since Nong Phu's childhood, often triggered by minor household issues. He has coordinated with Lam Luk Ka Police to expedite the investigation and prosecution of related charges to prevent further violence.
According to the employer, Phu is described as a well-behaved and diligent student with impressive academic achievements, maintaining a GPA of 3.80-3.90, excelling in science and mathematics. In light of the situation, the employer has committed to providing him with housing at the factory and supporting his educational aspirations while the legal proceedings unfold.
