Koh Phi Phi raises red flags to warn tourists

Hat Noppharat Thara-Mu Ko Phi Phi National Park in Krabi Province has raised red flags warning against swimming in the sea and prohibiting tour boats from entering the area after the sea experienced strong waves and winds. Officials of Hat Noppharat Thara-Mu Ko Phi Phi National Park in Krabi Province changed the flag from yellow to red in front of Poda Island, Ao Nang Subdistrict, Mueang Krabi District, as a symbol warning tourists not to swim in the sea and tour boats not to enter the area for safety reasons after the sea had strong waves and winds. In addition, red flags have been planted at various marine tourist attractions such as Talay Waek, Mai Pai Island, Maya Bay, and to monitor the dangers of strong waves and winds. While the Meteorological Department revealed the situation of the tropical storm in the western Pacific Ocean, there is a tendency for it to intensify into a tropical storm and move closer to Luzal Island, Philippines on 24-25 October before moving northwest into the South China Sea a nd moving east of the country.
