Bangkok: Their Majesties the King and Queen have donated relief supplies to the people of Nepal. His Majesty the King and Her Majesty the Queen have graciously bestowed relief supplies to the people of Nepal following the sudden floods and severe landslides in northern Nepal.
According to Thai News Agency, on September 5, 2026, at 10:55 AM, His Majesty the King and Her Majesty the Queen graciously instructed Air Chief Marshal Chom Roongsawang, Privy Councillor, to present royal gifts to Mr. Dhan Bahadur Oli, Ambassador of Nepal to Thailand, at the aircraft hangar of Wing 6, Royal Thai Air Force Headquarters. These gifts are intended to assist the Nepalese people in relief efforts following the severe flash floods and landslides in northern Nepal on August 26, 2026, which resulted in numerous deaths, missing persons, and displaced individuals, as well as widespread damage to homes, property, and infrastructure.
In this regard, His Majesty the King and Her Majesty the Queen have been following the situation and are deeply concerned about the flooding incident. They have graciously sent a message of condolences to the President of Nepal on behalf of the Thai people.
This act of royal benevolence is another instance demonstrating the concern and goodwill of His Majesty the King and Her Majesty the Queen towards the people of friendly nations. Previously, during the COVID-19 pandemic, Their Majesties graciously ordered the shipment of essential medical equipment and supplies, along with various royal gifts, to support public health efforts and alleviate the suffering of the people of Nepal.
The Royal Thai Air Force will arrange for the delivery of the royal gifts to the Royal Thai Embassy in Nepal, to be handed over to the Nepalese government for distribution to those affected by the flash floods and severe landslides, and other impacts. The relief supplies include sleeping tents, emergency sleeping bags, children's gift bags, generators, flashlights, helmets, and other essential items.
