James Nantavut Achieves Milestone in Monaco F3 Debut

Monaco: "James" Nantavut Pirompakdi, the Thai driver from the DAMS Lucas Oil team, showcased a commendable performance in his debut at the Monaco Grand Prix during the 2026 FIA Formula 3 World Championship, securing a 12th place finish in the sprint race. This result marks his best achievement of the season to date.

According to Thai News Agency, the rookie driver from Thailand demonstrated remarkable skill during the qualifying rounds, earning the 18th position on the starting grid, which was his highest starting position of the season. Despite a red flag incident during the sprint race that pushed him to the back, Pirompakdi managed a strong comeback, overtaking several competitors to initially finish 18th. A subsequent penalty for another driver involved in an incident elevated his final standing to 12th place.

Looking ahead, Nantawut is set to compete at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya in Spain for the next race of the 2026 FIA Formula 3 World Championship, scheduled for June 13-14.
