Indonesia Joins Trump-Led Peace Committee Initiative

Jakarta: Indonesia has accepted an invitation from U.S. President Donald Trump to join a peace committee. The Indonesian Foreign Ministry announced in a statement released online that the country has joined Turkey, Egypt, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, and Qatar in accepting the invitation, with each nation signing the participation document according to its own legal procedures.

According to Thai News Agency, Trump has extended invitations to dozens of world leaders as part of a program he initiated, which aims at resolving global conflicts. Despite the initiative's intentions, some diplomats express concerns that such actions might negatively impact the functioning of the United Nations.
