Bangkok: Today's anti-scam efforts highlight the ongoing issue of call center gangs exploiting naive students. These gangs continue to employ familiar tactics, targeting young victims who worry about causing embarrassment to their parents.
According to Thai News Agency, the perpetrators impersonate government officials, fabricate charges against the students, instill fear, and ultimately deceive them into transferring money. This fraudulent activity has resulted in the loss of nearly 200,000 baht from the victims, shedding light on the need for increased awareness and precautionary measures among students to combat such scams effectively.
