Pattaya:Heavy rain in Pattaya City, Chonburi Province, has led to significant flooding in several low-lying areas, forcing road closures.
According to Thai News Agency, the continuous downpour occurred around noon, causing water levels to reach nearly 1 meter in some locations, notably along Pattaya Third Road, Sukhumvit Road, and the road parallel to the railway tracks near Wat Tham Samakkee.
Authorities are actively working to drain the floodwaters and have closed traffic in areas with severe water accumulation to ensure public safety. The Meteorological Department has issued a warning for continued heavy rain in many parts of the eastern region until September 27th, with some areas expected to experience very heavy rainfall. Pattaya city officials are closely monitoring the situation and are urging the public to avoid flooded routes and stay updated on the weather conditions.
