Hankook and Company Q2 net profit up 198.6 pct to 108.5 bln won

Hankook and Company Co. on Thursday reported its second-quarter net profit of 108.5 billion won (US$78.8 million), up 198.6 percent from a year earlier. The company said in a regulatory filing that it posted 124.8 billion won in operating profit for the quarter, compared with 44.6 billion won a year ago. Sales rose 48.7 percent to 363.5 billion won.
