Worasit stated that the government is not under pressure following movements aimed at influencing the Election Commission regarding the case. He reiterated that any wrongdoing must be accounted for, stressing his personal detachment from the matter and urging a focus on addressing the country's issues.
According to Thai News Agency, in an interview regarding the Election Commission's upcoming ruling on the Senate election collusion case, Worasit was asked about potential pressure on the government. He responded that he believed there was none, affirming that the government has consistently upheld the principle that those who err must take responsibility. He assured that the government is neither interfering nor involved in the issue, which is for the Election Commission to address based on the evidence. Addressing the September 13th protests and potential links to inciting the masses, Worasit acknowledged their rights but stressed that the work must be grounded in facts.
Worasit also addressed whether recent activities of various groups have influenced the government's operations, stating that it has not, as they have consistently strived to perform to the best of their abilities. Since the cabinet's formation, the government has encountered numerous internal and external challenges beyond their control. He expressed confidence that the focus remains on resolving these challenges to facilitate the country's progress. When questioned about concerns over potential dissatisfaction from protesting groups with the Election Commission's ruling, Worasit expressed no concern, reiterating that everything is based on facts and evidence.
Commenting on the praise from Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul for easing the workload, Worasit expressed encouragement but emphasized that serving the people is a collective responsibility of all ministers. When asked about the "child deities" group of ministers, Worasit highlighted the collective effort required, acknowledging the Prime Minister's leadership as crucial to the Cabinet's functionality and expressing his gratitude to the Prime Minister.
