Government aims to drive AI growth

Deputy Prime Minister Prasert reiterates that the government aims to drive AI growth, create 48 billion baht in economic value, and develop more than 30,000 personnel by 2027, indicating that the Delta Future Industry Summit 2024 will be a pilot project to unlock potential and welcome the planned investment of 500 million dollars in Thailand in the next 5 years. With the global AI market projected to reach USD 826 billion by 2030, Thailand is ready to seize this opportunity through the Nat ional AI Action Plan for Thailand's Development, which provides a tangible framework for implementation. 'Our goal is to develop more than 30,000 AI professionals by 2027 and promote the growth of AI-driven businesses worth more than 48 billion baht. At the same time, neighboring countries in the region are seriously investing in AI, aiming to accelerate economic growth and improve people's quality of life. I am confident that with close cooperation in the region, we will be able to elevate Southeast Asia's position as a global force in AI-driven innovation,' said Mr. Prasert.
