GH Bank Promotes 0% Interest Installment Payments for NPA Assets with Focus on Home Ownership

Bangkok: GH Bank is advocating for the purchase of NPA assets through 0% interest installment payments for up to 24 months, as part of its initiative to support homeownership among Thais. This initiative is in line with the bank's efforts to make housing more accessible by offering innovative financial solutions.

According to Thai News Agency, GH Bank is actively promoting the Finance School project, which aims to create access to low-interest home loans. The initiative is designed to help more individuals, particularly those with low and middle incomes, own their homes by providing flexible payment options. The bank offers over 20,000 pre-owned homes in prime locations across the nation, available with 0% interest installment payments for up to two years. Upon full payment, buyers can move in immediately as per the bank's terms.

Mr. Kamolpop Virapala, President of the Government Housing Bank, emphasized the bank's commitment to facilitating home ownership by offering various options to the public. He highlighted the GHB Finance School program, which helps potential borrowers, who may not have consistent financial statements, to prepare for loan applications by maintaining regular financial records through the GHB ALL GEN application for 12 consecutive months. This initiative is aimed at fostering financial discipline among customers and ensuring their eligibility for future loans.

The bank's strategy also includes offering a 0% down payment policy, reducing customer expenses and encouraging aspiring homeowners to proceed with their home purchase plans. For those unable to provide traditional proof of income, the GHB Finance School program offers an alternative path to securing a loan. Mr. Kamolpop noted that over 228,000 customers have registered for the program, with more than 50,000 successfully receiving loans, underscoring the bank's dedication to increasing homeownership rates in Thailand.
