Bangkok: General Chaiyapruk Duangprapat, Chief of Staff of the Royal Thai Army, has firmly dismissed rumors suggesting his appointment as the Secretary-General of the National Security Council. Addressing the speculation, General Chaiyapruk emphasized that his primary focus remains on his current duties and expressed his readiness to serve wherever needed.

According to Thai News Agency, the Army Chief of Staff responded to questions about the annual reshuffle of high-ranking military officers with humor, questioning the origin of the rumors. Despite the circulating speculation, he reiterated that decisions regarding transfers are the responsibility of his commanders and maintained that he is prepared for any assignment.
