Bang lamung: The owner of a car repair shop in Chonburi province's Bang Lamung area expressed anger after being conned out of over 20,000 baht by a husband and wife team. He traced their address using the details on their ID card, only to find out that the individual he sought was actually a 22-year-old mother.
According to Thai News Agency, the young mother had lost her ID card three years prior, and it had been used in the scam to deceive the car repair shop owner into a fraudulent transaction involving automotive equipment. The shop owner narrowly avoided physical harm during the confrontation. The mother, distressed by the verbal abuse she endured during this ordeal, was compelled to change her phone number to escape further harassment.
