Forensic Science Division Completes CCTV Data Recovery From Brewery Fire Investigation

Bangkok: The Forensic Science Division has successfully recovered CCTV data from the brewery at Ladprao. Pol. Maj. Gen. Wathee Aswuthamangkul, Commander of the Central Forensic Science Division, shared the latest developments in the ongoing forensic investigation into the fire at the "Brewery at Ladprao."

According to Thai News Agency, officials coordinated with investigators to arrange a meeting with the restaurant's technicians, who were responsible for installing the electrical wiring and interior decorations. This meeting aims to identify the electrical system at the scene, which has been heavily damaged by fire, making it challenging to determine the precise location of the electrical wiring. The area remains secured, and modifications to the structure are prohibited until the building technicians can identify the wiring points, allowing for a thorough inspection of the ceiling. The timing of this inspection depends on effective coordination between the investigators and the technicians.

Pol. Maj. Gen. Watee also stated that the key piece of evidence recovered by forensic officers is the CCTV footage. The computer and data recovery team worked throughout the night to examine and access the image files. Recent reports confirm that the recovery and examination process is now complete. The Forensic Science Division is preparing a comprehensive report on their findings and will provide all CCTV footage to the investigating officers for inclusion in the case file today. Any irregularities observed in the CCTV footage will be subject to further examination and included in an official report.
