Flooding Recedes at Ramkhamhaeng University

Bangkok:Floodwaters have significantly receded at Ramkhamhaeng University, as recent images shared on the "Around Ramkhamhaeng" Facebook page reveal a marked decrease in water levels around the campus.

According to Thai News Agency, the Facebook page of Ramkhamhaeng University posted aerial images at 900 AM on October 2, 2026, highlighting the improved conditions with a message noting the receding water. These images depict that most roads and areas surrounding the university have returned to normal, although some spots still exhibit dampness and standing water.

Efforts to manage flooding in Bangkok continue, with the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) actively working to drain water, especially in the eastern districts such as Lat Krabang and Rom Klao housing estates. These operations involve the use of the Khlong Prawet Buriram canal. The BMA has reported that major roads are now largely accessible, although some smaller streets and communities remain affected. The administration is deploying additional pumps and drainage equipment to speed up the recovery process in these areas.
