FLIGHTS SUSPENDED IN BANGLADESH’S AIRPORT AFTER THAI AIRLINE FLIGHT SUFFERS “MULTIPLE TYRE BURSTS”

DHAKA, Bangladesh All flight operations were suspended at Bangladesh's principal Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in capital Dhaka for hours after a Thai Airways flight from Bangkok suffered "multiple tyre bursts" on Tuesday afternoon.

"All operations were on hold for hours from 12.20 pm (local time) as the aircraft suffered tyre bursts while landing," according to an airport official, reported Xinhua.

"Thai Airways Flight TG321 had made an emergency landing at around 12.20 pm local time amid inclement weather," said the official, who spoke on the condition of anonymity.

"At least four of its tyres burst while landing on the runway."

No casualties were reported due to the mishap. The plane, with 145 people on board, was stuck on the runway. TV footage showed edgy passengers.
