Surin: Preparations are underway to transport the bodies of the two brave soldiers who died at Hill 350 back to their hometowns. At Weerawat Yothin Camp Hospital in Surin Province this morning, the province is preparing a ceremony to honor the brave soldiers. Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Anutin Charnvirakul, will preside over the ceremony to pay tribute to and send off the remains of Sergeant Major Samroeng Klangprakon and Private Phanupat Sausa, both from the 3rd Battalion, 23rd Infantry Regiment, who sacrificed their lives defending national sovereignty at the Battle of Hill 350 during clashes along the Thai-Cambodian border. The Governor of Surin Province, the Commander of the 25th Military Circle, government officials, personnel from Weerawat Yothin Camp, and the families of the two soldiers will participate in the ceremony to honor and send the fallen soldiers back to their hometown with full honors.
According to Thai News Agency, the atmosphere this morning in Surin province, particularly in the conflict zones around Prasat Ta Kwai and Hill 350, as well as Prasat Ta Muean Thom, still sees artillery exchanges between the two sides along the front lines.
