Chonburi: The Extreme Sports Association led the Thai national skateboard team to organize a skateboarding workshop, providing knowledge and skateboarding techniques to interested youth during the 40th National Youth Games "Shark Youth Games" at the competition area of the skate park of Koh Loi Public Park, Sriracha District, Chonburi Province. According to Thai News Agency, the 40th National Youth Games 'Shark Youth Games' are taking place from 23 March to 3 April 2025 in Chonburi Province. Besides extreme sports being one of the sports with intense medal competitions, the Extreme Sports Association of Thailand acknowledges the importance of developing new athletes, particularly skateboarders. Workshops were organized during the competition, with both Thai national skateboarders and coaches providing close guidance in both street and park categories from 24 to 25 March 2025. Many enthusiastic youths attended the event. The first medal in the skateboard competition, in the Long Ollie category or long jump c ategory this year, was claimed by the host, Sriracha, Chonburi Province. 'Nong Garfield' Panya confidently set a new Thai record at 4.2 meters. The silver medal was contested by 'Angpao' Kiattiphum Kam-ek from Surin and 'Loma' Chaichan Karakes from Uttaradit, both setting the same record at 3.9 meters and sharing the silver medal. In 4th place was 'Toto' Thanakorn Wodkowski from Pattaya, Chonburi. The extreme sports will continue to vie for gold medals from today until 28 March at Koh Loi Public Park, Sriracha District, Chonburi Province. The next event on the Extreme Sports Association's calendar is the "Thailand Extreme Fest 2025," a major national championship scheduled for 23-25 May 2025 at the multipurpose area of the Central Festival Pattaya Beach shopping mall in Chonburi Province.
