Ekniti Nitithanprapha Declines to Confirm Political Affiliation Amidst Economic Policy Discussions

Bangkok: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, Ekniti Nitithanprapha, addressed the media on the status of economic policies following the dissolution of parliament, emphasizing the need for guidance from Deputy Prime Minister Bowornsak Uwanno and the Election Commission. Despite multiple inquiries, Ekniti did not confirm whether he has applied to join the Bhumjaithai Party.

According to Thai News Agency, Ekniti highlighted the necessity of consulting with Bowornsak and the Election Commission on the continuation of economic initiatives such as the "Half-Price Plus" project. He maintained that discussions on tariffs and trade negotiations with the United States require further input from key stakeholders.

Ekniti clarified that Prime Minister has not called for a special cabinet meeting. When questioned about his potential membership in the Bhumjaithai Party, Ekniti chose not to provide a direct answer, opting instead to respond with a smile.
