Bangkok: Ekniti Nitithanpraphas, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, has taken to social media to express support for the upgrading of small businesses, with a focus on increasing online sales and expanding market access for local communities.
According to Thai News Agency, Ekniti posted on Facebook to invite small businesses to join the “Half-Half Plus” program. The government plans to open registration for the program from October 15 to December 19, 2025, with the general public able to register from October 20 to 26 during specified hours. The program allows purchases of food or beverages through approved food delivery platforms via the “Paotang” app from November 7 to December 31, 2025, during designated hours.
Food delivery platforms approved for the project will process payments through the “Tung Ngern” application. The Comptroller General’s Department will then transfer the government’s portion of the payments to participating merchants. Additionally, the government is encouraging participating merchants to enhance their skills in financial literacy or digital literacy through specific platforms or channels.
