Bangkok: Sabida delivered a special lecture highlighting the power of Thai women in creating a health-conscious culture and encouraging all sectors to expand equal access to screening and treatment. She emphasized that women are the heart of Thai families, communities, and society.
According to Thai News Agency, on June 16, 2026, Mr. Pattana Promphat, Minister of Public Health, presided over and delivered a speech at the opening ceremony of “Voice for Her Power: The Power of Hope to Overcome Breast Cancer,” organized by the Breast Cancer Patients Club of Thailand in collaboration with government, private sector, medical, and civil society partners at the Sukosol Hotel, Bangkok.
Following this, Ms. Sabida Thaiseth, Minister of Culture, delivered a special lecture on the topic “Because Women Are the Heart of Society: It’s Time We Don’t Neglect Breast Health,” stating that women are a vital force in families, communities, and society, yet many neglect their own health. Therefore, it’s time for all sectors to work together to raise awareness that “breast health” is a personal matter that shouldn’t be overlooked, and to promote equal access to information, screening, and treatment for all women.
“Healthcare is not just about preventing disease, but about giving women the best opportunities in life. Because when women are healthy, they have the energy to care for their families, work, and contribute to society to their full potential,” said the Minister of Culture.
It is important to emphasize the significance of observing any abnormalities in the body, undergoing regular screenings, and seeking treatment in the early stages. These are crucial factors in increasing the chances of successful treatment, reducing the severity of the disease, and improving the quality of life for patients.
‘I invite all Thais to join in creating a ‘self-care culture’ as part of their lifestyle. Let’s have open and constructive conversations about women’s health and offer support to patients and their families, because women are the heart of society, and when the heart of society is strong, the nation will be strong as well,’ said Ms. Sabida.
