Brunei Darussalam will be sending 30 Royal Brunei Armed Forces personnel to take part in the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon, U.N.I.F.I.L under the MALBATT 850-4 contingent. To seek blessings for the departure and for the safe well-being of the officers and personnel involved while carrying out their duties, a Doa Selamat was held THIS AFTERNOON at the Ministry of Defence Surau in Bolkiah Garrison.
Present was Retired First Admiral Dato Seri Pahlawan Abdul Aziz Haji Mohd Tamit, the Deputy Minister of Defence. The ceremony continued with the reading of Surah Yaasin and the mass Fardhu Zuhur prayer. The contingent will be led by Major Azhan bin Haji Ahmad. Also present was Yang Dimuliakan Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Major General Dato Paduka Seri Mohd Tawih Bin Abdullah, the Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces.
