Bangkok: DJ Dada Warinda recently revealed on the show "Hon Krasae" that she was deceived by her close friend, Nana Raibeena, resulting in a financial loss of 3 million baht. Nana allegedly misled DJ Dada into purchasing 2 million baht in company shares and borrowed an additional 1 million baht. DJ Dada disclosed, "Da transferred money to Nana last November after Nana claimed she was in severe financial distress, with a debt of 168 million baht needing repayment within three months. As close friends, we sought to help Nana solve her crisis by introducing her to someone who could potentially assist."
According to Thai News Agency, DJ Dada was initially convinced that Nana's debts were legitimate. Nana updated them that she had resolved the debt issue with the help of the introduced contact. Subsequently, Nana offered DJ Dada the opportunity to buy a 1% stake in a profitable barber shop business for 2 million baht. Trusting her friend's business acumen, DJ Dada agreed to the transaction, transferring the money and signing a share purchase agreement, albeit without verifying the authenticity of the share documents.
The additional 1 million baht was provided as a loan, secured by a check for a year, which matured on November 25, 2015. DJ Dada's understanding was that Nana's financial troubles stemmed from a single creditor, but upon gaining new insights, she realized there was more to the story. Nana had also told DJ Dada about a supposed divorce from her husband, Way Thaithetiam, citing the financial burden as a reason. Reflecting on these revelations, DJ Dada expressed doubt about the authenticity of the divorce story, suspecting it may have been fabricated to solicit financial assistance.
Before appearing on the show, DJ Dada informed Nana about her decision to speak publicly. Nana, in turn, requested space to continue working. DJ Dada compared her situation to that of Janie, another individual who had experienced similar trust issues. Upon investigating, DJ Dada discovered discrepancies in Nana's claims about the company shares, prompting her to confront Nana. Nana confessed to using the funds for purposes other than stated. Although DJ Dada has yet to file a police report, she has consulted a lawyer who advised her to do so. DJ Dada intends to resolve the matter through legal channels to recover her funds.
