Bangkok: DJ Dada Warinda has taken a reluctant but necessary step to address a financial dispute involving her close friend, Nana Raibeena. The decision to involve law enforcement comes after Dada fell victim to a scheme where she was deceived into purchasing fake shares worth 2 million baht and loaning an additional 1 million baht to Nana.
According to Thai News Agency, Dada's legal counsel advised her to file a police report, and Nana was informed of this decision. Despite the legal proceedings, Dada's main goal is to recover the money rather than press criminal charges. A contract is currently being drafted to outline the debt repayment terms, including the total amount owed and a feasible payment schedule. Dada emphasized that she holds no grudges against Nana and is committed to finding a resolution without causing any harm, aiming instead to provide Nana with employment opportunities to facilitate debt repayment.
Dada noted that while she and Nana had cleared up past misunderstandings, the significant debt remains unresolved. She learned that her investment, which was intended for company shares, was instead used for Nana's personal expenses. Dada is hopeful that allowing Nana a chance to work will be the most effective solution to settling the debt.
The situation has affected their friendship, with Dada admitting that they are unlikely to maintain the same closeness they once shared. The financial strain has also highlighted questions about Nana's financial priorities, particularly concerning rumors about her spending habits related to her husband. Despite these challenges, Dada and Nana continue to communicate, focusing primarily on resolving the debt issue rather than personal matters, indicating a shift in their relationship dynamics.
