Director of National Defence College Commends and Supports War Veterans


Bangkok: The Director of the Office of the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Defence recently visited war veterans to extend support and appreciation for their service. During this visit, the Director of the National Defence College expressed gratitude to the veterans for their dedication in safeguarding the nation’s sovereignty.



According to Thai News Agency, on October 8, 2015, General Kantanat Nikornyanon, Director of the Veterans Hospital (WVO), along with Lt. Gen. Seri Sukontamalai, Deputy Director of the WVO, and other senior executives, conducted an inspection of the hospital’s operations. They attended a briefing on the hospital’s missions at a meeting held in Building 2 on the 2nd floor of the Veterans Hospital. Dr. Jittima Preecha, Director of the Veterans Hospital, along with other hospital executives, welcomed the visiting officials.



The Director of the OPDC and his team proceeded to meet with 69 veterans who were injured and disabled during combat and are currently receiving treatment at the hospital. The visit included the presentation of souvenirs from the Director and Deputy Director, marking their new appointments. The purpose of the visit was to uplift the spirits of the veterans and convey the officials’ concern and support. The Director expressed his appreciation for the veterans’ courage, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment to defending the nation.
