Bangkok: "Big Aun" is set to visit the southern border provinces to assist with flood relief efforts following a cabinet visit. Despite concerns about potentially causing disruptions, the visit aims to demonstrate the government's commitment to resolving the disaster and preventing future occurrences. According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Phumtham Vejjayachai, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, addressed the flood situation in the southern border regions during a Defense Council meeting. He announced plans to visit the affected areas after the cabinet meeting in Chiang Mai-Chiang Rai. The visit will include inspections of various agencies such as the 4th Army Region, ISOC Region 4 Forward Command, and the Southern Border Provinces Administrative Center (SBPAC). Mr. Phumtham emphasized that his visit intends to show the government's concern and readiness to address the issues that require immediate attention. During the recent NSC meeting, discussions also revolved around the budget proposal to be presented to the traveling cabinet in Chiang Mai. The budget is not limited to the Chiang Mai-Chiang Rai region but also considers other regions facing crises. The NSC will oversee efforts to resolve and prevent such incidents in the future.
