Bangkok: The Deputy Minister of Industry led a ceremony to honor His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej, known as "His Royal Highness the Father," with an emphasis on maintaining naval discipline as a guide for national governance. According to Thai News Agency, Chief Petty Officer Yotsing Liemlert, who serves as both the Deputy Minister of Industry and Chairman of the Royal Thai Navy Association, presided over the event. The ceremony celebrated Admiral Prince Abhakorn Kiatiwong, Krom Luang Chumphon Khet Udomsak, considered the father of the Royal Thai Navy, in recognition of his birthday. The event saw participation from local government officials, civil servants, and the general public. The proceedings involved the ceremonial changing of the naval and royal flags, accompanied by performances of royal compositions. These acts were performed to express gratitude for the benevolent contributions of "His Royal Highness the Father," referring to the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej. The late king's foundational work continues to contribute to the stability and strength of the Royal Thai Navy.
