According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Pichit Hunsiri, Director-General of the Department of Rural Roads, has reported that flooding continues to impact the rural road network across several provinces. As of 9:00 a.m., the Department of Rural Roads (DRR) Road Maintenance Office noted the flood-affected areas have decreased to eight provinces, including Mae Hong Son, Uttaradit, Yasothon, Ubon Ratchathani, Nakhon Sawan, Phichit, Phitsanulok, and Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya. The current status shows 29 roads impacted, with 16 remaining passable and 13 impassable.
Efforts by DRR agencies to provide assistance and alleviate public suffering are ongoing, with continuous monitoring until conditions normalize. In particular, the Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Rural Roads District is deploying teams to fill sandbags to serve as water barriers on rural highway No. 5035, specifically on the stretch between km. 13+000 and km. 14+600 on the Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Municipality-Ban Phakhao route.
