Urban development initiatives are also underway to improve infrastructure, including flood protection and the development of "Sponge Cities" to address climate challenges.

The Department is also advancing building control by enhancing safety standards and promoting green building practices. This includes inspecting structures post-disaster and using eco-friendly materials. In construction services, the focus is on providing standardized and accessible services, utilizing digital technology to streamline processes and improve public access.

Streamlining procedures and reducing operational times are crucial for the Department to address public needs swiftly and effectively. The overarching goal is to create adaptable, safe, and livable cities that support a high quality of life for all residents.
