Songkhla: The Department of Highways has established pick-up and drop-off points along "3 routes, 6 points" in the flood-affected Songkhla-Satun area to aid transport and facilitate travel. This initiative by the Department of Highways (DOH) under the Ministry of Transport aims to assist with the movement of patients, belongings, and officials, as well as support participating agencies in navigating the challenging conditions.
According to Thai News Agency, the DOH has arranged for transport vehicles on three specific routes. Route 1 connects Hat Yai Airport to Songkhla City, with designated pick-up and drop-off points at Hat Yai Airport, PTT Klong Wong, and Songkhla Highway District 1. Route 2 runs from Hat Yai Airport through Military Circle 42 at Senanarong Camp in Hat Yai to Songkhla City, featuring stops at Hat Yai Airport, Wat Kok Naw, Military District 42, and Songkhla Highway District 1. Lastly, Route 3 links Hat Yai Airport to Satun City with pick-up and drop-off points at Hat Yai Airport and Satun Highway District.
Additionally, three operational service points have been opened to assist the public. The first is located at the 42nd Military District, Senanarong Camp Command in Hat Yai, accessible via phone at 074-586-685. The second service point is at Songkhla Highway District 1 and the Songkhla Road Construction Center, contactable at 074-311-091. The third is situated at the Satun Highway District, with coordination available through 074-772-139.
