Bangkok: Daniel Rodriguez defeated Petchmorakot Bangmadklongtan in a historic fight celebrating the 80th anniversary of Rajadamnern Boxing Stadium. Mr. Thianchai Pisitwutthinan, CEO of Global Sports Ventures Co., Ltd., Executive Director of Rajadamnern Stadium, and Chairman of RWS, presided over the 'R80 Rajadamnern Anniversary' event, which was marked as the biggest Muay Thai fight of the year. The event celebrated the stadium's eight-decade milestone with a lineup of top fighters, who drew a packed audience of both Thai and international fans. It also set a new record for the highest total prize money and bonuses, exceeding 4.8 million baht.

According to Thai News Agency, the main event was a super fight in the super welterweight division, featuring the first-ever clash between two top fighters from different weight classes. Daniel Rodriguez, the Rajadamnern Stadium 154-pound champion, faced off against Petchmorakot Bangmadklongtan, the 160-pound middleweight champion. The match was characterized by fierce exchanges, showcasing the intensity expected from a super fight of this caliber. Daniel Rodriguez ultimately emerged victorious, winning by a points decision and retaining his dominance in the division. In addition to maintaining his championship status, Rodriguez secured a 500,000 baht prize for his victory in the super fight.
