On 30th August 2016, Yang Berhormat Minister of Energy and Industry at the Prime Minister's Office, Pehin Yasmin met with Puan Yang Terutama Datin Paduka Malai Hajah Halimah bin Malai Haji Mohd Yusof, newly appointed Ambassador to France; Puan Yang Terutama Pengiran Hajah Faezah binti Pengiran Haji Abdul Rahman, newly appointed Permanent Representative to ASEAN in Jakarta, Indonesia; Puan Yang Terutama Hajah Masurai binti Haji Masri, newly appointed Ambassador to Bangladesh; Puan Yang Terutama Norazlinah binti Ibrahim, newly appointed Ambassador to Timor-Leste; and Tuan Yang Terutama Abu Sufian bin Haji Ali, newly appointed Amb
The Outgoing envoys were congratulated and briefed on Brunei Darussalam's strategic interests in Energy, Industry and Climate Change in their respective appointed missions.
Brunei Darussalam enjoys close energy cooperation with France through the presence of its major Oil and Gas Company Total in Brunei's energy sector. Brunei Darussalam also hopes to explore further cooperation opportunities with Bangladesh, particularly in Industry through SME development and Halal Sector.
Brunei Darussalam is also an active member of ASEAN through the ASEAN Economic Community which oversees regional economic cooperation, with EIDPMO's interests in many areas, including Energy, Science and Technology, SMEs and Intellectual Property.
