Bangkok: The Court of Justice has launched a new feature called the "Mirror" menu on its Court of Justice Online Service System (CIOS), enabling users to check the real-time status of civil and consumer cases and verify their identity via ThaID. This service aims to provide convenience and security by eliminating the need for individuals to physically visit the court.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Teerathai Charoenwong, Secretary-General of the Office of the Judiciary, stated that the Office of the Judiciary has been continuously upgrading its technology services to enhance convenience for the public. The newly launched "KC: Know your Cases," also known as the "Mirror," acts like a mirror reflecting the status of cases, allowing individuals to check their status as plaintiffs or defendants in civil and consumer cases.
The e-Filing Version 4 system facilitates filings in courts of first instance nationwide for cases filed from January 5, 2026, onwards, allowing for real-time processing free of charge and without requiring individuals to travel to court. The "KC: Know your Cases" or "Mirror" system's workflow is designed to be user-friendly, utilizing the lawsuit database directly from the e-Filing system. Once users complete secure identity verification through the ThaID application, the system displays results instantly, providing immediate access to case information.
The system consolidates all crucial case details in one place, including the name of the court handling the case, the case number, the type of case, the filing date, the judgment date, and the user's status as a party to the case. This reliable system is particularly beneficial for individuals who do not reside at their registered address, allowing them to know which court they are being sued in. Initially, it will be available for checking civil and consumer cases filed online through the e-Filing version 4 system, with plans for future expansion to cover all types of cases.
For public access to the "Kanchong" system, users need to visit the CIOS website, register, and verify their identity through the Department of Provincial Administration's ThaID application. Once verified, users can click on the "KC: Know your Cases" menu to view all their cases. The system ensures personal data protection and advanced security while providing real-time information about the parties involved in a case.
Mr. Teerathai emphasized that this service launch marks a significant step in leveraging digital innovation to drive justice, providing the public with convenient, transparent, and comprehensive access to information. This initiative not only meets modern lifestyle needs but also reduces steps, lowers costs, and saves time in contacting the court for official business.
