The Constitutional Court ordered the NACC to explain its actions and the collection of evidence to the Constitutional Court within 15 days in the case of "Thirayut" requesting the court to order "Thaksin" to stop controlling the Pheu Thai Party. The Constitutional Court convened to discuss important cases by considering the petition requesting the Constitutional Court to consider and rule according to Section 49 of the Constitution, which Mr. Thirayuth Suwannakasorn filed a petition requesting the Constitutional Court to rule that Mr. Thaksin Shinawatra (the first defendant) and the Pheu Thai Party (the second defendant) colluded to act in an act that was an exercise of rights or freedoms to overthrow the democratic regime with the King as head of state on 6 issues: Mr. Thaksin ordered the government through the Ministry of Justice, the Department of Corrections, and the Police General Hospital to provide benefits to him by allowing him to stay in a room on the 14th floor of the Police General Hospital durin g his prison sentence so that he would not have to serve his sentence in prison, even though he was not found to be critically ill. Thaksin ordered the government to facilitate the former Cambodian prime minister to negotiate the overlapping maritime area to share the benefits of natural gas and underwater resources in Thailand's sovereignty with Cambodia. He ordered the Pheu Thai Party to cooperate in amending the constitution with the People's Party, a party founded by the political group of the original Move Forward Party, which was ruled by the Constitutional Court to overthrow the democratic regime with the King as head of state. Ordered on behalf of the Pheu Thai Party to negotiate with the leaders of other political parties that joined the government of Mr. Settha Thavisin, former Prime Minister, to discuss the nomination of a person who is suitable to be the new Prime Minister at his private residence and ordered the Pheu Thai Party to pass a resolution to expel the Palang Pracharath Party from bein g a coalition party and ordered the Pheu Thai Party to implement its own policies that it had expressed its vision to become the policies of the Cabinet that were announced to the Parliament. On September 24, 2024, Mr. Thirayut filed a petition with the Attorney General, asking the Supreme Court to request the Constitutional Court to rule and order the two defendants to cease their actions. However, the Attorney General did not take action within 15 days from the date of receipt of the petition. Mr. Thirayut therefore filed a petition with the Constitutional Court, requesting a ruling under Section 49, ordering Mr. Thaksin to cease such actions and for the Pheu Thai Party to stop allowing Mr. Thaksin to use it as a tool. The Constitutional Court considered the matter through discussion and saw that for the benefit of the court's consideration of whether to accept the petition for consideration or not, therefore, a letter was sent to the Attorney General to ask for information on what action had been taken i n accordance with the petition and how much evidence had been collected. Please send it to the Constitutional Court within 15 days from the date of receipt of the letter.-314.-Thai News Agency Source: Thai News Agencyl
