Chulaphan Collaborates with Ministries to Enhance Workforce Skills

Bangkok: "Chulaphan" delivers results, collaborating with 4 ministries to upskill and reskill the workforce. "Chulaphan" explained to Parliament that his words weren't just empty promises; he urged the public to judge by his actions and achievements. He stated that he is collaborating with four ministries to upskill and reskill workers, and that the "care" pension formula is fair.

According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Chulaphan Amornvivat, Minister of Labour, clarified during the government policy statement regarding the Ministry of Labour that he accepted the position with pride because the Ministry of Labour is an agency that cares for the people, especially. Regarding some MPs categorizing ministries into grades CB or A, he stated that he believes each ministry has similar responsibilities in caring for the public, therefore there is no need for grading. If he had to categorize, he would give the Ministry of Labour a grade A+ because it cares for over 45 million Thais.

The Ministry's mission is to assist the public, especially workers. Priorities will include education and accelerating the reduction of social security contributions, which will be studied quickly. He also emphasized policies focused on developing, upskilling, and reskilling the workforce, such as the "Learn with Budget, Get a Job" project. He stressed cooperation between ministries, specifically with the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI) to develop labour skills and train Thais to increase their competitiveness in new markets. Simultaneously, he will discuss with the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security to develop opportunities for disadvantaged groups. There will be no more aimless work; the focus will be on market-oriented approaches to create efficient job matching.

Mr. Chulaphan also addressed the issue of the minimum wage, noting that it was largely ignored during this election due to the current political situation. While acknowledging the current situation, the Ministry of Labour has not neglected the issue. The Ministry aims to adjust the minimum wage to an appropriate level. Even though everyone is aware of the current energy crisis, the Ministry's hope, including my own, is to develop a minimum wage calculation system that doesn't require individual input or decision-making. This would ensure fairer future wage adjustments.

The Minister of Labour also addressed the social security issue and the "care" formula, stating that there are no obstacles; it's a fair formula that will create mechanisms to compensate those who are disadvantaged, providing peace of mind regarding the changes and ensuring the new welfare system benefits all citizens.

Mr. Chulaphan said that today he has no flowery words, but rather focuses on actions. He urged all members to remain vigilant and closely monitor the work of the government and all ministers, including himself. He emphasized that the day of success will be the day when the results prove how effectively the actions taken have solved problems and driven the mission forward for the benefit of the working class.
