Chalong Riangrang Held in Nonthaburi Prison Without Special Privileges


Nonthaburi: Pol. Lt. Col. Ruttapol declared that Chalong Riangrang is being held in Nonthaburi Prison without any special privileges, applying normal standards. The Minister of Justice affirmed that the detention of Chalong Riengrang is nothing special, despite him being a politician, and is in accordance with prison regulations.



According to Thai News Agency, Police Lieutenant General Ruduthpol Nawarat, Minister of Justice, commented on the detention of Chalong Riangrang, a former Member of Parliament from Nonthaburi Province who shot the Nonthaburi Provincial Administrative Organization chairman. He stated that the detention was conducted at Nonthaburi Provincial Prison as per standard prison procedure, and there was nothing special about it. When asked if special care was needed because he is a politician, Lieutenant General Ruduthpol replied that there was nothing special, as the guards have their own system for providing care. He added that no special instructions were given within the prison, as their internal system is designed to care for inmates as it has been in place for a long time.
