According to Thai News Agency, Vice Admiral Apiwat Srivanthana, head of the Thai delegation, provided the latest update on the Thai national team competing in the 20th Asian Games in Aichi Prefecture and Nagoya City, Japan. He confirmed that Chalermchan Yoswiriyaphanich and Thaddao Nuekjeng are the athletes chosen to carry the Thai flag at the opening ceremony, representing Thailand on this significant international stage.
Chalermchan has a distinguished background, having previously won a gold medal in equestrian dressage at the 19th SEA Games, a silver medal in the team equestrian dressage event at the 18th Asian Games, and a gold medal in the team equestrian dressage event at the 33rd SEA Games. Thaddao Nuekjeng has also achieved remarkable success, recently contributing to the Thai women's volleyball team's victory at the 2026 Asian Championships, a win that secured their historic qualification for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.
The 20th Asian Games are scheduled to take place from September 19th to October 4th, 2026, with the official opening ceremony set for Saturday, September 19th at 4:00 PM Thailand time. The ceremony will be held at the Paloma Mizuho Stadium in Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture, Japan.
